MONALISA THE BEST ACTRESS IN TANZANIA TO BE FEATURED ALONG SIDE WITH HOLLYWOOD STARS

The best actors and actresses on the African continent have been brought together to feature alongside Hollywood actors in a new movie ‘Bleeding Sunshine’, which is set to hit the theatres soon. The production crew is expected to continue shooting in Egypt, Dubai and Israel.

The ‘Bleeding Sunshine’ movie talks about the “illegal trade of human beings for the purposes of reproductive slavery, commercial sexual exploitation, forced labour, or a modern-day form of slavery” called human trafficking.
The Hollywood feature film brings out a harrowing tale of a young Ghanaian girl [Suzzy Nabor] whose life is turned upside down when she is plucked from her humble fishing village and thrust into the gritty world of international human trafficking.

‘Bleeding Sunshine’ features a great array of African cast that includes Hakeem Kae-Kazim, Omar Sheriff, Amonobea Dodoo, Steven Kanumba, 2011 Pan African Best Actor – Chris Attoh, 2010 Zanzibar International Film Fest Award Best Actress -Yvonne CherryL, 2010 Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) Best Actor – Adjetey ‘Pusher’ Anang who plays the character called Captain Addo, a fisherman, the father of Suzzy, the little girl who was trafficked overseas.
Also playing key roles in this life touching movie written and directed by Hollywood based Ghanaian writer Yaa Boaa Aning, who holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, is the reigning “(AMAA) 2011 Best Actress – Ama K.” together with Suzzy Nabor, Jasmine Baroudi, Lady Arafua and Katou among some South African and Nigerian casts.


The cast from Hollywood will be revealed shortly.
The movie when completed will raise awareness about human trafficking and possible ways of combating it in Africa has commenced shooting in Ghana and will have the cast and production crew continue shooting in Egypt, Dubai & Israel.
Yaa Boaa completed her first 5 feature scripts. In 2009 she wrote and directed award winning short film, ‘The Prince of Venice’.  Other projects include Felix Triangle for President, which is currently in pre-production and Zahara, which is in postproduction.
Yaa is known for production roles in Hollywood movies and television series such as ‘Bolden’, ‘Forcing’ the Blues’, ‘The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard’, ‘Deep in the Valley’, ‘Fashion Rocks’, ‘Feast’, ‘xXx: State of the Union’, ‘Just Legal’, ‘Flight of the Phoenix’, ‘Stuck on You’, ‘Out of Time’ and Private Practice.
She also costumed Jamie Foxx and Usher Raymond in ‘The Kingdom’, ‘Dream Girls’, ‘Miami Vice’ and ‘In The Mix’.
Other crew working on the movie includes Chase Bowman as DOP, Richard Nwaobi-E as Producer, Dave Boapomg as Production Manager and Brian Angels as Camera Assistant
